Kosovo is a newly formed and still not fully recognized Balkan country and during  changes of jurisdiction there was a period without IPR enforcement. However, the country did introduce the new law on Intellectual Property and a new law for customs IPR enforcement which is in accordance with the EU law and practice. The focus of activities is directed on both customs and market monitoring . All cases are followed up from REACT Balkan office that is located in Skopje, Macedonia. Our local partner lawyer is Mr. Florin Lata. Customs and market monitoring cases can be followed up from initial info/seizure through storage/destruction organization and/or final court decision (when necessary). Main practice is swift resolving of cases by simplified procedure. The office is constantly developing good cooperation with the authorities in charge for IP enforcement and it is active in training seminars and similar activities.
